urgh srsl people who complain about yahoo buying tumblr need to stop freaking out. karp has allowed ads on tumblr since last year, and we haven’t seen ads taking over tumblr yet, the announcement was made that he remains the CEO and tumblr stays independent, so i don’t see the point of all the whinings. also, friendly reminder that flickr belongs to yahoo and i don’t see tacky purple and ads ridden layout either, so srsl CALM THE FUCK DOWN.

plot twist: yahoo buys tumblr and we get proper blocking features, lockable posts, a sent folder in messages/fanmail with a better interface, ability to search multiple tags, removal of the post and message limits, proper search engines for likes/archives and removing that bloody "reblog as a link" option.
